What is XERF?
XERF is a multifrequency monopolar radiofrequency device by Cynosure Lutronic, FDA cleared, that delivers energy at multiple depths of the skin to support firmness on the face and neck. It's non-invasive: no needles, no numbing and no downtime.
Who is it for?
Adults who notice the skin on their cheeks, jawline or neck looking less firm than it used to, including after weight loss. Candidacy is confirmed at the consultation; it isn't suitable during pregnancy or with a pacemaker or metal implants in the treatment area.
Does it hurt?
It feels warm. The device's integrated cooling protects the surface of the skin while the energy reaches the deeper layers, which is why no numbing cream is needed.
When will I see a change?
Most people describe a tighter feeling immediately after the session. The visible improvement in firmness builds gradually over four to twelve weeks as collagen rebuilds, and continues with each session in the plan.
How many sessions will I need?
Usually two to four, spaced about a month apart, depending on your skin and your goals. We set the plan together at the consultation.
Which areas can be treated?
The face and neck: cheeks, jawline, the appearance of jowls, and the skin under the chin and along the neck. At your consultation we map the areas that will make the most difference for you.
Can I combine it with Botox or fillers?
Often, yes. Your provider will sequence and space the treatments appropriately; bring it up at the consultation and we'll plan around it.
